In June, Jean-Jacques and I decided to bring the BarCamp phenomenon to Montreal. (I will expand on the reasons why in a later post.)
With 24 pre-registrants as of today, I’m now convinced that BarCampMontreal has enough demand. I’ve set the date for Saturday October 21st, 2006, and I will know tomorrow if the location I have in mind will be available.
In the meantime, anybody who is interested in helping (with specific ideas), please send me a note at barcampmontreal@gmail.com.
Quick list of things to do:
- Finalize location
- Work on the logo
- Translate everything to French
- Email everybody on the pre-registration list
